In order to change the secondary allocation of a dataset, the dataset has to be backed 
up and restored using IDCAMS overwrite commands to change the allocation.

This requirement states that, instead of doing this operation which requires an 
intermediate medium for backup and restore (i.e. disk or tape), the keywords to 
define the dataset's allocation be allowed to be coded with the ALTER command.

First remove the initial install ipl restriction from requiring DOSRES/SYSWK1. This 
will allow 'some' flexability until the install can be modified to allow a choice (maybe 
from a limited list) of volid pairs.

creates an incompatability. Within POWER only sites, the 4 characters does not

CrossAccess do (to name two other products).  People within CSI wish IBM to

quick, and it does not prevent CSI from providing a useful feature in the near term.

Currently, L281I returns: SUBLIBRARY lib.sublib CANNOT BE DELETED OR 
RENAMED BECAUSE IT IS NOT UNIQUELY ASSIGNED. We need an indication 
of where else the lib.sublib is LIBDEF'd, causing the problem. Before running the  
job, we go through all partitions on all machines dropping all known search chains 
for the lib.sublib we are working with. As a VM/VSE shop, we also drop other guest 
machines.

would be helpful for the message to indicate where LIBR 'thinks' the lib.sublib is 
assigned. We could then resolve the problem faster.

Move VTAM IOBUF out of 24 system GETVIS into either 31 system GETVIS or 
back to VTAM partition GETVIS (either 24 or 31).

This would allow us to possibly free up 1 meg of shared area that can be given back 
to private address space.  This would help us with our 24bit storage constrained 
CICSs.  Even if we couldn't free up an entire meg, at least we would be able to move 
additional CICS modules into the SVA.

Increase the number of V=F guests.  The current limitation is 1 V=R and 5 V=F.  For 
all of our VSEs to take advantage of the IOASSIST feature we would need this

Operators can't find manuals, much less messages in them. CA has obsoleted their

Easier, faster lookup of messages. CA-(Legent)FAQS/AO uses it, SDS Maxback now
